Go Panthers!

Panther football season has officially started & they are doing a great job! It is amazing to look and see a football field in Pine Prairie. There was a lot of hard work by many people and it shows. Thanks to Mr Charlie Cloud for his dedication to our community and children. I was a cheerleader for the Oakdale Warriors and football is some of my funnest memories. Abby & Jacie are lovin' it and practice their cheers daily. They have a blast following the cheerleaders.
Support our Panthers & catch that "Panther Spirit"!

Post Hurricanes

We survived Hurricane Gustav & Ike! (Notice that they were both MEN...) Life has been busy, busy, busy. I have doubled up on my work at Cabrini to prepare for our new Single Room Maternity-Newborn Care opening. The building will be complete in 12 to 18 months, but the training is definitely a "work in progress". I've been nursing for 15 yrs and feel like a nurse just out of school having to go through orientation again. You can only imagine the stress this adds to everyone. I'm beginning to think that the doctors need to hand out medicine! LOL!
My father, Grant Willis, actually evacuated from Oakdale to Pine Prairie during Gustav without a fight! Anybody who knows him, knows that he just doesn't leave the North Blacktop. Abby loved having her PaPa & MaMa at her house. She didn't want them to leave. Also, my Dad hates animals. He would never let me have a dog or cat. Well, Sassy actually entertained him and he even let her sleep beside him for a nap! Miracles happen everyday
Well, hopefully everyone is safe and let's say a prayer that the storm's stay away!
Just a few Gustav pics to share...
