Go Panthers!

Ainsley & Cheyenne came to model for me for an ad in the football programs. I loved their pics & had a blast playing with them. It's an exciting time for Pine Prairie & the Panthers football team. The cheerleaders & football players have worked really hard and I wish them lots of luck for this Friday night and the season. I have a feeling that Abby & Jacie are gonna have me watching more of the cheering than the game.
GO PANTHERS!

Showers of Love

I had fun this last weekend taking pics of Caitlin (& Jake, too!) at her wedding showers. She had one in Lone Pine on Saturday, then another in Pine Prairie on Sunday. Jake actually participated on Sunday for a very short period of time (thank's to his mom) and he was not impressed having to be there with all the women! As soon as his presents were open, he was out of there! They had a lot of people at both showers with a lot of love & support from family and friends. Of course, there was plenty of laughter & fun. (I use to blame everything on Randy, but I think he's been taking some of the blame for Jackie! LOL!) Both showers were beautiful and just perfect. You could feel the excitement from everyone because the wedding is very close. Again, it has been a blessing to continue this journey with them. What a special time for Caitlin & Jake as they prepare for the big day!

Luck for contest

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I have permission to post the pictures that are posted on my blog, picasa, & web site. I respect everyone that decides that they want their pics to remain private and a private gallery is provided. I respect everyone's privacy and appreciate all that let me share with others! Just entered a contest with some of my seniors. Hope I didn't wait too late. Hopefully they will let me know if I met the deadline within the next couple of days. P.S. Would love for some comments on the pics! Wish me Luck!

Quality time...

Please say a special prayer for my Dad. For some reason, he has started falling again. (probably because his heart is weaker) He fell last Thursday morning and hurt his leg. They didn't tell me, because Daddy didn't want me to worry. Especially with Abby starting school. I'm still his baby and he knows how my heart aches with worry for him. So, me & Abby went to visit with him & Mama Sat. morning. After I saw him, I was so hurt. He really didn't look good and that leads me to thinking about life without him. I sat for hours with him Saturday and Abby played with her MaMa. She would pass through, hold his hand, and give him kisses. By Sat. afternoon, he was looking a lot better. It's amazing what a visit from Abby can do for both of them. I decided to spend the night, so that we would have another day. We watched tv together until 10:30, and I helped him to bed. We have been so busy lately, and I thank God for the time I had with them this past weekend. By Sunday morning, he was feeling a lot better. In my heart, I know that our visits & Abby is his best medicine. We spent the day, then came home to get Abby ready for more school. While I visited with him and watched the Olympics, I played on my computer. I made Calli an invitation for her 1st birthday and a layout from our vacation. Actually felt like I was getting to scrapbook! Enjoy the creations & thanks ahead of time for the prayers.

School Days

We had a back to school celebration to help get us ready for the 1st day. Scott & I took Abby & Jacie to Alex. for shopping , eat at a Mexican restaurant, and a movie- the Space Chimps. They had a blast. When we got home, they skated and played music until 1AM. Of course, I was in bed reading. They took advantage of the time alone and had so much fun with my camera.(thank goodness for them it wasn't my "Sassy" camera!) They stayed up late, slept late, and then played the whole day. Then, it was time to wash hair and get to bed early. A special time with us is to tell a story about "The Night Before School" then it's off to sweet dreams.
Well, it's official. My baby is a 2nd grader! There were tears, no crying. (from me of course!) Abby was so excited and happy. That made it easy on me. She was thrilled to be in Mrs. DeeDee's class. And, the big hug that Abby got from DeeDee made my heart feel a lot better. Bernice is also keepin' an eye out, too. It helps to know that your child is being loved and well taken care of by all of them. They are the best. They have reassured me that the 2nd grade is fun. So, let the fun begin!

Home Sweet Home...

  • We are home from vacation, and we had a blast! The resort that we stayed at was fabulous, and the girls loved it. Jackson loved the water, too. He just didn't like the taste of the sand! The sound of the waves and the resort's waterfalls were the best. I could listen to that sound forever. We had an exciting and relaxing time. We did a lot of different stuff. Abby got to jet ski and parasail. My baby girl is growing up! I hated to come home because I knew we would have to face the fact that school is starting this week. 2nd grade! Does it ever get easier to let your baby start school?!! The positive- it will never be harder than leaving her at preschool! (excluding when she graduates....) The negative- no more late summer nights and late mornings. She is so much her mom! Although we wanted to stay one more night, it felt good to get home. Anyway, I'll share some pics from vacation....
  • Treasured vacation moments....
